triphopul e gen muzical care ia nastere prin anii 90, in bristol (artisti specifici bjork, massive attack, portishead, morcheeba, tricky, james lavelle...); gen electro-acustic, downtempo, cu radacinile in hiphop si influente free-jazz, ambient, dub, jungle, house etc
IDMul (intelligent dance music)/art-techno/IEM(intelligent electronic music)/experimental techno/braindance e tot un curent in muzica electronica de la inceputul anilor 90, derivat din genul techno; avanseaza la texturi si metode de manipulari ale sunetelor de Musique concrète si trupele timpurii industriale gen Coil and Nurse With Wound; spre deosebire de sunetul specific technoului dancefloor, IDMul este mai cerebral, fiind mai degraba artistic si bazat pe improvizatie, programare complicata a sequencerului; genul a fost inventat de aphex twin si warp records;
drum'n bassul e un gen muzical al muzicii electronice, de pe scena breakbeatului hardcore si raveului, originar din UK. a luat nastere prin mixarea bassline-ului din reggae cu percutia rapida.(artisti specifici: Fabio, Grooverider, Andy C, Roni Size, DJ SS, Brockie, Mickey Finn, Kenny Ken...)

Stii cine imi place? Aphex Twin!! Dar in principiu pt ca imi place muzica clasica.. especially vioara (spre ex. Vanessa Mae), iar Aphex Twin are a song: Kick Ass Violin Solo. Care e chiar Kick Ass. Si pe urma am mai ascultat si altceva.
